The idea for this film came about one August afternoon on 8th Ave while Craig was eating a meatball sub from Subway. After hearing from Frankie that he was returning to school in Ohio to pursue an education in American Sign Language, Craig brought up the then simple idea of a movie about a Deaf character. As the two began to hash out ideas about the film little things began to present themselves in the form of locations, actors and props. Soon, before they knew it, they had a movie and soon, before they knew it, they had a celebrated actor, a Tony award winning actor and the Academy Award winning actor that, from the beginning, they had fantasized about having in their film. The word "synchronicity" will often be used to describe the process and experience of writing and creating "RUN." Beautiful, touching and inspiring will be the words to describe the experience of watching "RUN."
